KRM Ministries

Campground Ministry -

Ponderosa Campground - Mike Humphreys
Infield Campground - Tom Ragland
Bourbon Street Campground - Jerry Spegal
Hawks Landing Campground - Todd King
Millionaires Row Campground - Bobby Wagner

Volunteers work outside in the campground atmosphere helping to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of the campers at the speedway. We distribute Bibles, host worship services and meals in the ministry tent and practice servant evangelism. We have made a lot of friends in the campgrounds over the years, and have long term relationships with a number of race fans. We host the Speedway Children’s Charities corn hole tournaments and offer campers a family friendly gathering place to sit and relax.

Kid Zone - Ray Hennecke

Volunteers help with the show car ministry, face paint, supervise crafts and the inflatables, distribute cookies, run the Hot Wheels track, staff the Pit Stop Challenge, visit with fans of all ages and most importantly, share the gospel of Christ with the many families who stop by throughout the day!

Guest Services - Jacalynn Wiles

Volunteers staff the speedway Information Booths. This is a great opportunity to distribute our Bibles and the thousands of driver cards that include the plan of salvation. Training for this venue will equip the volunteer for answering the fan’s questions and offering directions about the speedway.

Evangelism/Trauma Response - Wayne Mayers

Evangelism Team - Jose’ Muniz
Volunteers for the Evangelism Team engage the fans and employees of the speedway and share the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. These teams visit campgrounds, parking lots and the grandstands as they distribute Bibles, and have intentional conversations with the divine appointments that the Lord makes for them. These teams are on their feet a lot but have wonderful opportunities make an eternal difference!

Trauma Response Team - Andy Dellicker
Volunteers for the Trauma Response Team are specifically trained to respond and minister to individuals and families under a variety of circumstances. Located in the grandstand and fan care centers, these volunteers support and minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the fans. They also support law enforcement and emergency personnel as they perform their duties. While not directly engaging in those duties, volunteers are often called upon to provide spiritual support to the families experiencing traumatic events.

ADA Transportation -

Volunteers safely operate golf carts to provide transportation for individuals with disabilities or difficulties with mobility. Minimum age requirement for this ministry is 21.

Speedway Children’s Charities Events/Cornhole -

Volunteers assist with SCC fundraising efforts. They set up, officiate and tear down the SCC corn hole events held in the various campgrounds during race days. We also need volunteers to assist with the SCC trap shoot held off property at a local shooting clays range along with other events throughout the year.

Employee Welfare Courts-Mary Deboer

Volunteers safely operate golf carts to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the employees of the speedway. Water, Bibles, snacks, sunscreen, sanitizer and meals are delivered throughout the speedway property. This team also meets the physical needs of the KRM volunteers by delivering water, meals and ministry supplies.

Kitchen Team-

Volunteers work in the KRM command center preparing meals for speedway employees and our volunteers.

Employee Check In-

Volunteers provide Bibles, coffee, sunscreen, snacks and refreshments to the speedway employees as they check in for work.

Volunteer Check In - Sandra Clark

Volunteers assist with the check in process for all KRM volunteers. This team ensures that we have the correct information for our teams and connects the volunteers with their team leaders.

Show Car and Small Event Ministry Team - Kerry Spencer

KRM is engaged in ministry beyond the confines of Kentucky Speedway. Each year, this growing part of the ministry serves local churches and community outreaches. The show car, Hot Wheels track and Pit Stop Challenge provide instant outreach opportunities wherever they go!

In late 2013 Kentucky Speedway generously donated a NASCAR replica show car to KRM. Through Clarksville Collision, Tom Ragland and other volunteers worked hard on restoring and repainting the car with our design and logos. The ministry was also blessed to acquired a 28′ enclosed trailer to transport and safely store the car. The finished car made it’s debut at the Kentucky Speedway Kid’s Zone during the 2014 NASCAR speed week and was a big hit. The show car’s popularity has grown dramatically and it has proven to be a great ambassador for promoting our ministry and the message of Jesus Christ. Volunteers are needed to travel and help load and unload the car, setup and manage the Hot Wheels track and run the Pit Stop Challenge. Most importantly, volunteers hand out Bibles and other gospel literature and share the good news of Christ with others.
